There are a number of items of clothing currently in lost property. These will be on display at the end of each school day on the playground until the end of the school year. Any clothing left after the end of this school year will be given to Rudry Rascals to be recycled. Everyone is very welcome to come into the playground to see if any items belong to their child.
There are a number of items of clothing currently in lost property. These will be on display at the end of each school day on the playground between Wednesday 12th – Thursday 20th July. Any clothing left after the end of this school year will be given to Rudry Rascals to be recycled. Everyone is very welcome to come into the playground to see if any items belong to their child.
We kindly ask that all pieces of school uniform, including PE kits are clearly marked with children’s names to greatly reduce the amount of unclaimed uniform.
Thank you to everyone for their patience as we transfer Rudry Rascals’ after school provision from the local community hall to the school. The official start date for the move will be this Friday 18th November.
The school and Rudry Rascals have begun a process of transferring after school provision from the local community hall to the school itself. We were intending to begin using the school as the after school venue from Monday 7th November. However, the start date has been delayed due to a number of unresolved logistical issues. The school and the Rudry Rascals team are currently working with the Local Authority to ensure that we can transfer to the school building site as quickly as possible. We will provide updates as soon as we have further information.
We were hoping that the school and Rudry Rascals would have begun transferring the after school provision to the school as of today, but unfortunately, this has been delayed. We would like to reassure parents that we are working towards the transition in the near future and will keep you updated on progress.
This week, a meeting was held with ‘Playworks’, a company who provide after-school provision and are currently working alongside Rudry Rascals. Over the next few months, the school and Rudry Rascals will begin the process of transferring after school provision from the local community hall to the school itself. This will prevent issues with travel after school and will also allow children to attend an after school club before joining Rudry Rascals for the remainder of the time. We will provide updates over the next half term.
Rudry Rascals After School Club is looking for your help!
We would like to provide a service to all Rhydri Primary School parents for a uniform recycling scheme. This would involve you as parents donating any good quality unwanted Rhydri Primary School Uniform items to us (jumpers, polo shirts, trousers, skirts, dresses, PE kit). We would then recycle these items by selling on to other parents of Rhydri Primary School at a much reduced cost. The profit made from selling the uniform would go towards the running of Rudry Rascals After School Club and help keep it open for future generations.
Any uniform items can be dropped off to Nicola or Bethany at Rudry Rascals After School Club in the Village Hall during term time (Mon-Fri 3.30pm to 5.30pm), or contact Vicky (07977 220710), Sue (07881 958581) or Katie (07970 796734) and we can arrange collection.
These items will be sold at school at village events such as sports day, Rudry fete etc. Details of this will be on our Facebook page and schools newsletters.
This scheme will be run throughout the school year of 2016/2017 and if all goes well we will continue every year.
