Mrs Gettings and Mrs Hayhoe would like to invite the parents of both Rainbow and Bronze class to meet on the yard at 9:15 on Friday 13th July. The Foundation phase topic this term has been ‘Carnival of the Animals’ and the children would like to show you what they have been doing by performing to you and showcasing their work.
The children will be creating some savannah sunset paintings that will be framed for the parents to purchase if they wish. The cost of these will be £5, which covers the cost of the materials and frames and then any profits made will be spent on enhancing the outside areas.
We feel that this would be a lovely way to finish the year and the perfect opportunity for us all to get together.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Don’t forget that Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 will be visiting Techniquest tomorrow and that there will be no Nursery session on that morning. I’m sure that they will have a fantastic day!
Rainbow and Bronze classes are visiting Techniquest in Cardiff Bay on Thursday 28th September as part of their Topic on Space. Details to follow.
This means that there will be no Nursery session on 28th of September.
A very big ‘thank you’ to Mrs Eveleigh, Mrs Arnold, Ross John, Carl Burton and Jamie Goddard for the hard work they put into the outside area of Rainbow Class last weekend. We all appreciate this and it has made such a positive difference to this busy part of our school!
Thank you to all the parents/carers who joined us for our Art open-morning last Friday. The morning was a huge success and it was a fantastic opportunity for us to share with you the wonderful work the children have been completing in class. As always, your support it greatly appreciated.
Thank you to Rachel MacManus for taking videos and photographs throughout the morning and creating the following films:
(The first film is longer and includes the talks given by Miss Bodenham and the teaching staff and the second film just has shots of the day and the song)
Mrs Gettings and Mrs Hayhoe would like to invite parents/carers into school on Friday 7th July between 9:15am – 10:30am to view the fabulous artwork completed by the children over the past couple of weeks. The children have been studying Van Gogh’s Sunflowers and we would love to celebrate their amazing work with you. The children will sing a Sunflower song and there will also be an opportunity to purchase some of your child’s work.
