Walk to School Week

I would very much like to thank all pupils, parents and staff that walked to school last week.  Even though the weather was not particularly kind to us I am very proud of the number of children that walked to school using the Dormouse trail.   In the week beginning 23rd November, just 4% of children walked to school.  However last week, 35% of school pupils walked to school – a fantastic achievement!

The winning class, presented with the golden boot, was Rainbow Class.   Well done all!  I would like to thank DWR committee for purchasing 40 high visibility vests for our walk to school week.  I will be organising another walk to school week during the Spring term and will be looking forward to improving on our percentage of children walking to school. The school is aiming to achieve the ‘Sustrans big shift’ big step award during the Spring term.  Once again thank you all for your support.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs Banks
