Walk to School Week – Week Commencing 30th November – Reminder

One of our objectives this year is to continue to monitor the number of children who walk or cycle to school. We have decided to hold our first of these weeks on the 30th November – 4th December to encourage the children to see the benefits of walking to and from school instead of travelling by car. We will be running a competition throughout that week between the three classes to see which class walks to and from school the most.  The winning class will win the ‘Golden Boot’ at the end of the week. We will be encouraging parents to park in Rudry Parish Hall carpark and walk to school using the Dormouse trail.  Mrs Banks and Mrs Eveleigh will be at the Parish Hall carpark from 8:30am to ensure that the children walk safely to school.  Mrs Sian Tucker, the DWR community voice coordinator, has kindly organised for the children to have high visibility jackets for their journey.  Thank you to Mrs Banks for organizing ‘Walk to School’ week.
